CHAPTER 2
Brennan kept thinking that although he engineered the "encounter", life played the biggest role making it happen and that was super ! He then started a conversation with Jessica... They talked about different subjects, philosofy, love, relatioships, food, travelling and everything came very natural. After four hours Jessica realized she had set up a meeting with a girl friend and told Brennan she had to go. It was clear that they had a connection, she felt it, he felt it and with butterflies in the stomack he found the courage to invite her to dinner. She immediately smiled at him, but waited a couple a seconds before saying "yes". They were to meet the day after at eight.
The following night started early. Jessica began dressing up at six and Brennan at five. Both couldn't think of anything else but each other. Brennan drove his SUV to Jessica's place. He had a Luther Vandross old CD playing, one of his favorites. As soon as he saw her, he got mesmerized. Jessica was simply beautiful in a long pinkish skirt, a simple white blouse with a trendy jacket on top. They went to a small italian restaurant, a safe choice made by Brennan. He reserved a small corner wood table with a view that was waiting for them with candle lights and a bottle of a fine Bordeaux. Très chic !
It was a dream-come-true night, the stars were shining, the moon was full, the sky was clear, the sea was singing a sweet melody. Jessica smiled all the time.
Minute by minute they both dove into an intense empathic loving altmosphere. Their hands attracted each other like magnets, so strong that the muscles could not help it. Finally they touched. It was like an explosion, like flames burning close. Staring was the only language for a while, but suddenly they both felt there was only one right move... and they kissed !
Divine chemistry. This is what best describes the moment. The lips matched as if they were halves of a whole. All senses became numb and only love remained flowing in their perfect channel. At that time, they were made for each other.
From that day on they lived a fairy tale. Things changed very fast. Jessica decided to move to Brennan's city, since she ran her business from home. Brennan rent a bigger house and in one month they were living together. They didn't even had a chance to meet their in-laws...
In the following month they got a big surprise. Jessica's period, which worked as a swiss watch, was late and she ran to a drugstore for a pregnancy test kit. Brennan told her to buy two different ones and she did. He was at his lunch break when he received her call...

There's always a catch
CHAPTER 1
There's always a catch, her mother always said. There are no flawless men out there !
Your father was close to it, but...
But the daughter kept saying that her guy was perfect. He had a striking smile, messy hair, a slim attractive figure and dark brown penetrating eyes. He could dance, sing, make scrambled eggs and talk about almost everything. He was sensitive, intelligent, patient, understanding, friendly, humorous, articulated, charming and above all straight... He had a good job, a cozy car and great CDs. In a nutshell, he was a "race horse", a "prince charm".
Mary thought for a moment and then exclaimed - He is probably a... Jessica cut her off immediately saying: No, mom, he is not a womanizer ! I am pretty sure !
Jessica met him by accident in a book store. They were looking for the same book...
Brennan told his father - Dad, I met my Cinderella ! The old man replied - Son, all women have one thing in common: they change all the time and complain that we don't change at all. Yours is also part of the group. Don't be silly.
However, the young guy made a list of her qualities to show his unfaithfull parent. She was beautiful, with light brown skin, long shiny hair and incredible body (no artifical add-ons).
She was intelligent, interesting, independent, intense, partaker, humorous, super elegant and did like to travel without a lot of planning. She had her own business, distinguished simple tastes and a natural life.
John asked - How old is she ? And the infatuated boy aswered - She's about my age, in the thirties. She is desperate to marry and have kids. That's it ! - John shouted.
Dad, you are full of crap !
Brennan saw her for the first time early in the summer walking along with Jeff, a guy he knew from elementary school. Jeff owned a big bookstore and told Brennan that Jessica was an avid reader and always bought a lot of titles with him. Brennan asked the old peer if he could warn him the next time she was in the store and got a positive answer.
One week later Jeff called. Jessica would be in the store the day after at two o'clock. Brennan mentioned that he wanted to buy a book for his mother and that was a good chance to meet her.
Brennan was anxious and arrived two hours earlier to look for his mother's gift. The book was sold out, so he decided to buy another one he wanted to read himself, a romance about a couple who spent their lives traveling around the world looking for their soulmates, until they meet in an italian coffee shop in the corner and fall in love.
As soon as he arrived in the Romance aisle he surprisingly saw her. Jessica was in a white dress with flowers stamped, a Panama hat and sandals. She looks like an angel -he thought.
Brennan smiled to Jessica unconsciously, as he saw her walking in his direction. She also smiled and asked - Do you have "Close to you" from Francine Sheppard ?
He laughed briefly and said - Nope, but that's the book I'm looking for !
Jessica blushed immediately, embarassed by her fault.
